Deadpool 2 has had three cuts at this point: the theatrical cut,
the “Super Duper” cut (which has a few additional scenes – most notably a
post-credit scene in which Deadpool tries to murder a baby Hitler – and some alternate
gags), and Once Upon a Deadpool, a
PG-13 cut that was released in theaters.
I’ve just seen the last one, and it’s essentially Deadpool 2, just with the blood, gore, and most of the profanities edited
out. And since I already reviewed Deadpool 2, there’s really no need to make a thorough review of Once Upon a Deadpool.

'Deadpool 2' Doubles Down
Deadpool 2 is the much awaited sequel to the groundbreaking R-rated
comedy superhero film Deadpool. This time, Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool a.k.a.
the Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) is up against Thanos Cable (Josh
Brolin), a cyborg super soldier from the future who is determined to
assassinate a young mutant named Russell Collins (Hunt for the Wilderpeople’s Julian Dennison).

‘Deadpool’ Is a Perfect Embodiment of the Character’s Quintessence
In a way, it’s somewhat of a
miracle that this movie got made. Ryan
Reynolds is a perfect fit to play Marvel’s fan-favorite anti-hero Wade Wilson
a.k.a. Deadpool a.k.a. the Merc with a Mouth.
Unfortunately, this spot-on casting was wasted when the first attempt to
depict the character on screen was done in the godawful X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie in which it was a horrendous
failure. It’s somewhat rare for a studio
to make up for its failures, but thankfully Fox decided to do so, listened to
fans, and took another shot in bringing a live-action Deadpool to the big
screen – and they nailed it this time! By
boldly opting with an R-rating, a movie that brings justice to the character was
made possible.
